Kerala Bank has grown as Malayali's own bank - Minister Sri.V.N.Vasavan
Minister for Cooperation, Sri.V.N.Vasavan said that the Kerala Bank, formed by the Kerala State Government with the approval of Reserve Bank of India as Kerala's own Bank, has now grown to become a bank of Keralites residing across the world that they considered their own.
The Minister was delivering the inaugural speech at the function to disburse the Presidential award of the Kerala Bank instituted as part of recovery campaigns at the Hilton Garden Hotel in Thiruvananthapuram on 12.06.24.
The Presidential award went to 227 branches that reduced the NPA to 25 per cent than that of the previous year, 8 area managers who gave solid support to the campaign as well as Kannur district that also reduced 25 percent of NPA compared to previous year and Perla branch of Kasaragod that achieved zero percent NPA. Bank president, Sri. Gopi Kottamurickal presided over.
The Bank will not impose any service charges including penal charges for savings and current accounts that are opened during June 2024 as part of "Jubilant June" campaign, even if they do not maintain minimum balance, it was informed at the function.
